From Challenges to Innovation
The decade that built CEEN.
For more than a decade, eczema was the constant backdrop of my life. Not just the physical discomfort, though there was plenty — but the experience of walking into beauty aisles that weren't built for skin like mine. Ingredient lists written in chemical code. Products marketed as gentle that weren't. Doctors prescribing cortisol creams that worked for a week and then stopped.
"I eventually stopped looking for what already existed and started exploring what I could make."
Argan oil. Jojoba. Raw butters. I was melting and blending in my kitchen — it worked, but it was inconvenient and messy. Not a ritual. Just a recipe.
Then it came to me: I already made candles, by hand, for mood, for moments. What if the candle was the serum? Two years of development later, including one summer where the formula nearly melted in the Dubai heat and I had to rebuild it from scratch. CEEN was born.

The Story Behind The Formula
The August that almost broke everything.
There was a summer, the second year of development, when every candle I made softened in the UAE heat. Not melted entirely; just enough to arrive looking wrong, feeling wrong.
"I could have added a synthetic stabiliser. It would have fixed it in a day. I didn't."
Back to the chemist. Back to the formula. Back to August — testing, adjusting, retesting. Until one afternoon, the candle sat in a car in full Dubai sun and did only what I permitted it to do: soften very slightly at the very top. A whisper of give. Nothing more.
The integrity of the formula was not negotiable. Because that integrity was the entire reason CEEN existed.
